Create Order Tip #2: Make a To-Do list

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, make a list of everything you need to do.

I like to make different lists for different life areas, such as: work, home tasks, and personal tasks.

This allows me to select things from each list to add to my “Master List” so I feel that each area is getting some attention. Sometimes one list (such as work) will need to take priority over others when I have looming deadlines, and that’s ok for a short period.

Now select three tasks to do from your list/s.

Next, and this is the most important step, so take note! DO NOT DO ANY of the other tasks on your list until you have done these three FIRST.

The other tasks fall back into the pool of items to choose from tomorrow onwards, but DON’T do them until you have done the first three you have selected.

TIPS: Make your list the night before, or first thing in the morning so you’re ready to hit the ground running when you start your day. If a task is too big to complete in one day, break it down into smaller, manageable tasks.
